TBR: August 2017

TBR August 17

My August TBR list will be shaped by what I have checked out from the library and books I received from my July Book Outlet book haul. I am excited to make some more headway with my TBR list by moving these books to my Read pile this month.

Newly Added TBR Picks (< 1 year):

  1. The Upside of Unrequited by Becky Albertalli: All about the curse of crushing on those who don’t feel the same way and the pangs of first love, this YA contemporary read has been hyped and I am excited to see for myself how it lives up to all the buzz. Date Added: May 28, 2017
  2. Illuminae by Amie Kaufman & Jay Kristoff: This story takes place in the far future amidst a galactic war and is told through hacked emails, reports, messages, and more. People have been raving about this and I am super curious about it. Date Added: July 11, 2017
  3. Cafe by the Sea by Jenny Colgan: Although Flora fled her small Scottish hometown long ago, she finds herself heading back after years away in bustling London. Amidst the chaos of home, she begins to restore a small cafe in her hometown. I am a sucker for a story like this and I hope to curl up and sink into this story. Date Added: June 2, 2017

Long Ago Added TBR Picks (> 1 year):

  1. The Sky is Everywhere by Jandy Nelson: This is the story about a girl who is grieving the loss of her sister who is trying to heal. I am hoping for a good emotional read in this one. Date Added: September 15, 2013
